The FrontPage Registration feature lets Web visitors create their own accounts for access to a Web site. An HTML form gathers the new visitor s name and password, plus any other desir able fields. The Registration component adds the visitor name and password to the Web site s authentication database and uses the Save Results component to store submitted data for other purposes. A common use for the Registration component is requiring Web visitors to identify themselves before they re granted access to a given subweb. This supports any later follow-up you want to perform and, combined with a log analysis tool, supports analysis of usage by individuals.
